Copy: Technical sciences and media education: convergence or one way street?

Abstract For a long time education in field of mass-media (journalism, movie studies) has been strongly associated to humanities while such field has been associated with functional philology (skills in writing texts). Technologies are changing the world of journalism and we may see a rise of hybrid programs in field of media studies bringing technologies and technological skills into humanities. But what about an oncoming traffic? What media education may do inside technical university and why media skills needed.
