Abstract
The goal of this research is to examine the mediating role of life satisfaction on the relationship between forgiveness and stress. Participants were 391 university students. In this study the Trait Forgiveness Scale, the Life Satisfaction Scale, and the Stress subscale of DASS were used as measures. According to the results, life satisfaction was predicted positively and stress was predicted negatively by forgiveness. On the other hand, stress was predicted negatively by life satisfaction. In addition, life satisfaction mediated on the relationship between forgiveness and stress. It also examines these data with a view to elucidating various methodological issues regarding life satisfaction measurement. In addition to these aims, the diverse data collected for this paper allow an examination of several methodological issues relevant to the measurement of life satisfaction.
